MENDALO, – Office of Interational Affairs Universitas Jambi has been carried out one of the activity agendas, namely In House Training “Multicultural Understanding-Preparation of International Exchange Student” on Monday (08/11) at Golden Harvest Hotel Jambi. The aim of this agenda is related to the context of international student exchange. This event was officially opened by the Rector of the Universitas Jambi, Prof. Drs. H. Sutrisno, M.Sc., Ph.D.

“Alhamdulillah, on this happy day, – Office of Interational Affairs Universitas Jambi is running a model for student exchange. This event was attended by students who we are proud of from all faculties, perhaps representatives from existing study programs, and thank you also to the dean who was coming to this event, “said the Rector of Universitas Jambi.

“In this occassions, I will give some important notes about this activity, maybe you need to convey it to your friends who did not have time to attend this opportunity. Our campus has run the program of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka. So, this is the second year, so it’s been four semesters. In 2020 an evaluation has been carried out and in 2021 an evaluation will also be carried out. One of the activities in Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka is student exchange. All of these activities give students the opportunity to freely seek experiences outside of their own campus environment. The most important thing is that 20 credits are used for this activity,” he added.

The Head of Office of Interational Affairs Universitas Jambi said that this activity is a form of realization of their duties in international Affairs. In addition, this activity is also one of a series of International Day activities.

“We carry out this activity as a manifestation of our task at Office of Interational Affairs to facilitate lecturers and students in international activities at Universitas Jambi. Today we invite younger students to provide training in order to prepare themselves for international student exchanges, which hopefully will be conducted offline in 2022,” said Dr. Sri Wahyuni.

“Today’s training is facilitated by some mentors, Dr. Abrar, Christantri Marthaliani, and Raisa Matanari and also the recipients of the LPDP scholarship as well as Alumni of foreign exchange students when they went to college some time ago,” he added.
